Colin Ive wants to preserve the character of Yateley
Colin, 58, moved to Yateley in 1976. He is a family man with 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Whilst bringing up his children he gained experience of providing youth activities by running a boys' football team for 7 years. He maintains this interest today as the Chairman of Yateley Football Club.
In 1980 Colin was the first Officer in Charge at Yateley Fire Station and continued in this role until his retirement from the fire service 26 years later. Coupled with that part-time role Colin worked for Nokia for 15 years, studying whilst there for his MBA, until leaving in late 2009 to start his own business "CoDRIM.com" specialising in Business Continuity and Resilience.
He retains his passion for community safety as Chair of the Hart Road Safety Council where he has been responsible for promoting road safety, targeting children through their schools and families.
